Student Goal Setting Cards – By now most 7th and 8th grade students have received their 1st Quarter Report Cards. Make sure to update your Goal Setting Card to see if you achieved your goals. If you achieved them, think about setting even higher goals for 2nd Quarter. If you did not achieve your goals, what can you do differently in Quarter 2? You will soon be receiving your 2nd Quarter Goal Setting Cards


Group Yearbook Photo – A large group photo will be taken at the amphitheater stage today at 12:00 during lunch.  Make sure to be there if you’ve dressed up for Red Ribbon Week today and you’d like to be in the yearbook.  


Detention – will resume to its regular time starting today.


Edgenuity – will resume today to the regular schedule. 


Immersion Club – There will be a brief meeting today at noon for all members in room 36.


Red Ribbon Week- Tomorrow is Team Tuesday so come to school dressed in your favorite sports team attire.  Team hats are okay to wear.  We will have a completion in Homeroom so make sure you dress up!

We will also have games and music in the quad.  Come on by for a fun way to spend your week!!!  The more students that get involved, the more fun we will have


Red Ribbon Week Knowledge – each day this week we’ll be testing your Red Ribbon knowledge! Answer the following trivia question and submit it on a piece of paper to Student Services. One of the correct answers will be randomly selected for a prize!

How many teens are dealing with drug use daily at home?


Dutcher is holding its Red Ribbon Week poster contest – Starting today until Wednesday, design a poster with the Red Ribbon theme, “Your Future is Key, So Stay Drug Free” on a regular piece of white paper and submit it to Student Services. The top 5 posters will be announced Thursday and will be displayed on our social media pages and school website, and artists will receive a prize!


Builder’s Clubis sponsoring the Turlock Together canned food drive from today, Monday, Oct. 23rd to Friday, Nov. 3rd. Please bring your canned food to room 14 during homeroom.  The homeroom that donates the most cans will receive doughnuts.  All food collected stays in Turlock and goes to local distribution centers.  Thank you for your support.


6th grade volleyball – the following volleyball players please turn in your uniforms into Mrs. Tyler ASAP: please drop it off in the gym during homeroom: Alia Galvan, Ethel Thompson, Daisy Hibdon, and Emily Hasten Perez.


DMS Sweatshirts – We are taking pre-orders for DMS Sweatshirts. Order forms can be picked up in the office.


Character in Action – the following students are today’s picks for rewards for having Character in Action: Jacob Rego and Arturo Hernandez. Please stop by Mrs. Axtells’ room 23 right after homeroom, at the beginning of lunch, or right after school to pick up your reward.


BOX TOPS – Don’t forget to turn in your Box Tops for Education!  Please cut them out and place them in a baggie or envelope labeled with the name of your homeroom teacher.  There is a box in the office for collecting or you can put them in Mrs. Olguin’s mailbox in the staff room.  The class that has collected the most Box Tops at the end of the quarter will win a doughnut party.
