Band and Jazz students – Attention all band and jazz students and music supporters! The Dutcher band and jazz concert previously scheduled for Thursday, April 27 has been moved to MONDAY, MAY 1st, 6:00 PM, in the Dutcher gym.

 

Candle Fundraiser – Today is the very last day to turn in your candle orders for the Washington DC/NYC fundraiser. Please bring any orders and money to Student Services immediately after Home room so we can send it off today.  See John or Mrs. Rogers if you have any questions.

 

Drama – Students who are performing in Saturday’s Pancake Breakfast need to stay after school today and Thursday to practice performance piece.

 

8th Grade Students - Your 8th Grade “Class of 2017” T-Shirt order forms went home yesterday during homeroom.  Don’t be left out, remember to order before it’s too late.  All orders are DUE BY THE END OF YOUR LUNCHTIME, TOMORROW – WEDNESDAY.  Shirts are pre-order only.  There will not be extra shirts available for purchase.  Order forms can also be found in the office and on the Dutcher School web page.

 

Salsa Night – Bring your family and friends and come support the dual language immersion program at our 1st ever Salsa Night! Friday April 28th from 4:00-7:00pm in the Dutcher Amphitheater. Deadline to enter your best homemade salsa for a chance to win a prize has been extended until Friday the 28th. Entry forms are available in the office. There will be food vendors, a free salsa dancing lesson, games of loteria, and a special performance by the folkloric dancers “Los Luceros de Osborn”.

 

Drama and speech students – who plan on attending the May 16 trip to Santa Cruz must have their money turned in no later than Monday, May 1. Space is limited to the first 50 who turn in their money. You may pick up your permission slips during lunch tomorrow in room 21.

 

Promotion Speech and National Anthem try outs – will be held next Tuesday, May 2 after school in the gym.

 

Promotion Dance – You may purchase promotion dance tickets during lunch in front of the library. The last day to purchase your ticket is Friday, May 5th. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

 

Character in Action – the following student is today’s pick for rewards for having Character in Action: Nancy Peguero and Levit LopezPlease stop by the office right after homeroom, at the beginning of lunch, or right after school to pick up your reward. (I didn’t pick any names)

COSTA RICA –   A huge THANK YOU to Ms. Cordell and the Travel Club for arranging the Costa Rica trip over Spring break. Students, parents, and staff had an amazing time learning about the Costa Rican culture, rain forest, animals, schools, volcanos, and made new friends! Dutcher students did a great job of representing our school and the USA! PURA VIDA!
